Responsibility

How we choose to make clothes

We’re a small studio in Cape Town. We don’t have a perfect system, but we do make clear choices: fewer pieces, better fabrics, local production and a focus on clothes that actually get worn.

Our approach

For us, sustainability isn’t a campaign or a slogan. It’s a simple question we ask over and over: will this piece be worn on repeat, and can we stand behind how it was made?

3/F is built around fit, fabric and longevity. We keep things tight, avoid unnecessary styles, and stay close to the making process.

What we focus on

Fewer pieces

We produce in small runs and keep the range edited. Each style is designed to work with the rest of your wardrobe and stay relevant beyond a single season.

Better materials

We favour natural fibres that breathe, age well and feel good on the body. We choose fabrics for durability and comfort first, not just appearance.

Local making

Design, sampling and production all happen in Cape Town. Keeping things close means we know who is making our clothes and how they’re being made.

Longevity over novelty

We design with repeat wear in mind: stable fits, practical details and fabrics that get better with time. We would rather see the same shirt on you for years than see a new one in your cart every month.

Because the most sustainable piece is the one you keep wearing.

Repair instead of replace

Things wear out. Seams can fail. That doesn’t have to be the end of a garment.

We offer a 1-year repair commitment on seams and stitching under normal wear. If something goes wrong within that time, we fix it at no cost.

How it works

  1. 01

Send us your order details and a photo of the issue.

  2. 02

Drop off or ship the garment to our Cape Town studio.

  3. 03

We repair it and return it, ready for more wear.

Request a repair

We’ll keep adjusting, improving and learning as we go. If you have questions about how something is made, you’re always welcome to ask.
