How 3/F started

3/F began with two people from different places. Leon is from Zimbabwe and Dana is from the Netherlands. They met while working together on another clothing brand.

They realised they cared about the same things: clothing that feels good, fits well and holds up over time. Nothing loud or overworked. Just well made pieces you want to wear again and again.

The brand grew naturally out of that shared way of seeing design: clean lines, practical details and a wardrobe that works hard without shouting.

How we work

We kept seeing the same gap in the mens market. Pieces that looked simple but were poorly made, or pieces that were overly designed without real function.

Leon wanted to make garments that were considered and functional. Dana wanted a brand that communicated those ideas clearly and honestly.

A 50/50 partnership

3/F is owned equally by both of us. That matters.

It reflects the way we want to build the brand. Mutual respect. Shared ownership. Genuine collaboration. We believe the people who design and make the clothes should share in the ownership of the brand. This is not a slogan. It is how we have chosen to build 3/F.
